In this rotation, there are 2 parts, first trying to get some observation drawing, second making a story about friends have an argument in the cafe.

At first, I looked for images on the internet trying to improve my observation skills by copying them to focus on painting, when looking closely at the world around us we are able to see details that we might miss.

TATE Observation
Sketching on site and moving the objects around is also a challenge for me.

On the last day of the second week, we had to find characters that could form a story from the sketches we had observed in the tate museum in the previous days and then draw a triple picture. My story is about a girl who crosses the road while live streaming and an angry driver, the first picture is the story background to explain the time and place,
About the material, use the sketch paper to fill the main object, I think it can add more energy to object.

animal sketch and some characters trying

For the story version, the requirement was for two characters to have a stand-up fight and I started thinking that the characters didn’t have to be human, I thought it would be possible to think outside the solidity of coffee drinkers, so I designed a cat and a dog and pig-headed shopkeepers, anthropomorphising these animals. By treating it this way, what happens in the story becomes more dramatic and interesting, because the story is about coffee and vomiting, which makes it more accessible to the audience.
The cat and the dog go for coffee together, the cat eats the coffee beans and drinks the water, this strange way of drinking coffee angers the dog, who beats the cat, and because of the strike, the cat’s vomit turns into a coffee latte with a cat motif.
